Saturday morning Baby

My mom is so hip, she bought an iPhone (: And I just found out that she LOVES rihanna. When I wanted to transfer some songs from the laptop to her iPhone, she insisted that we listen to ALL the songs first. Oh and she refused to let me put Chris Brown in her iPhone because “he’s a very very bad boy”. And then she laughed hysterically. So thats what i’ve been doing this whole weekend, helping my mom buy a phone and setting it up.

I also went BOWLING! (: Wow it’s been such a long time since i’ve been bowling, so it was refreshing and FUN!

Apparently bowling at Marina Square is so popular i bumped into 4 people there! 2 Latifah’s, one Kak Ya’s and 1 Habibah (;

Ahh de stressing weekend for a stressful week ahead.

Have a good one guys!

Wait A Moment!

with 2 comments

Oh before i officially head off to bed.. I have to let one thing off my chest.

“That one person that you just love to death that you see everyday is the main cause of whatever that is happening between us. I’m just saying, don’t be falling for it just cause she’s pretending to be so nice in front of you, when in actual fact, she’s the one who has been the most untruthful so far”

IMJUZSAYIN.

Urges

I am physically tired. One more sleepless night will render me insane. The long trips to school (3 to 4 hours) and the heavy bag that I carry over my shoulder is putting this strain on my neck. To top that, having a 9.30am class everyday doesn’t really help. I went home today with this uneasy feeling all over my body. I need to get a massage soon! Despite this innate hatred that I have for coming to school, I actually enjoy those quiet moments in the library where I get to read my book. It’s an awesome feeling. Then the feeling of not wanting to go home sets in, and then here we are! Back to the same vicious cycle…..

I have this urge to want to attend a wedding (:

Aren’t the dresses gorgeous! I love the vintage-y feeling that I get when I first saw the pictures. I would love to have so much pastel colours at my wedding.. HEHE. I’mjuzsayin.

And speaking of wedding, I finished reading 2 books in a span of 4 days. Can you imagine!

Elizabeth Gilbert’s book, “Committed” talking about how she faced her fear of marriage really gave me some insight on marriage in general. I have to say, the light hearted nature of the book and those interesting stories that she researched on did cause me to chuckle to myself a few times while reading the book on the train (and hence, resulting in people giving me weird stares. I kid you not.). The fact that my sister and I have been discussing this issue of marriage lately, this book really put some ideas into perspective for me. It’s hard to explain here in this vast empty (white) space what I feel (I’m not good with expressions sometimes) but you should read the book if you loved reading “Eat, Pray, Love”.

And so… here comes the end of yet another post. I have an 8.30am class tomorrow! and i sincerely hope I won’t wake up late again, like today………………..

From the East to the West come on everybody put your hands up in the air

with 2 comments

Last saturday (not this one!) Azhar and myself went down to East Coast Park for a small picnic. As usual, the area wasn’t lacking in people, that’s for sure, and it was packed with kids riding their little 4-wheeled bikes and ringing their bells proudly if someone were in their way, while their parents, panting, trying to catch up with them, telling them to slow down. I <3 the beach!

He made me a proper picnic meal! Coney Dog! (: I have to admit this one tastes WAAAAAAAAAY better than A&W’s! Azhar has yet to transfer all of the pics and these are all that I have now ): They don’t do the buns any justice, I must say.

We didn’t do anything great there. We didn’t rent tandem double bikes. We didn’t go into the water and swim. We just lazed around on the mat for 4 whole freaking hours talking nonsense/taking short 10 minute naps in between/eating. Azhar brought cheese and I bought nachos. HELL YEAH such a perfect combination of junk food I tell you! (:

Oh and i forgot to mention we camwhored (: LALALA (and you wonder why he takes so long to pass to me the pictures. There’ just too many!!)

And after a quick meal of barbecued chicken at the food centre down there at East Coast, we went to Darul Arqam for the talk by Brother Tawfik Idris, on Jesus (pbuh), the Son of Mary. Certainly a very knowledgeable experience. Definitely.

This weekend, I went to school and did a little studying. Well, the initial plan was to get some readings done, which i did, but I also spent some time watching Criminal Minds with Azhar. HAHA! He’s a Criminal Minds fan now, YAY! (:

At night, I went to Tekka Market to have some Mee Kuah (which was rather disappointing) and the family had an impromtu dinner at Lau Pa Sat (: So i feasted on satay and all those oily unhealthy but super-dee-duper delicious chicken and meat, because my uncle is back from Dubai for a week! (: And after that, he suggested going out to catch a movie, so we drove to the Cathay and cause Everybody’s Fine ( at 11.15pm) and Law Abiding Citizen (at 1.20am). The initial plan was to catch Law Abiding Citizen but the timing was inappropriate because we were at the Cathay at 10.30pm, so we decided to catch Everybody’s Fine (which was so tear-jerking, i couldn’t stop crying!). And the movie ended at 1am, afterwhich, my uncle suggested, impromptu-ly, that we should catch Law Abiding Citizen since the movie was at 1.20am! So in the end, we caught 2 movies, I reached home at 4am and had trouble waking up for my sunday school classes the next day (: But, it was nice spending time with my uncle because he won’t be back till the next Eid, which, really, is a long time from now! (:

Okay I am super tired and should be getting to bed, like, right now!

Okay I admit, I have been missing in action! School started and I am barely hanging on. Readings from every week piling up, and tutorials with demanding professors. Doesn’t sound so rosy does it? On top of that, planning the trip and everything is so pressurizing. I don’t know how Idzham or Mos feels but I am deathly terrified. DEATHLY. It’s so scary having 20 people look at you and you’re so afraid of screwing up. It’s like there’s this pressure to live up to expectation, and all i’m thinking is, “Holey Camoley I’m going to screw up!” On top of that, I have this super sick feeling in my tummy about the trip. I just.. it’s a gut feelings. I take my gut feelings pretty seriously because basically, they’re my conscious. I’m scared.

Anyhoos, before school started, I brought my parents out for a little breakfast with Azhar. Delifrance was having a buffet thing and I wanted to try it out (: Needless to say, no plated were flying in the air and my parents got along pretty well with him.

The food was pretty awesome. As you can see, we were really enjoying it and didn’t take pictures. But seriously AWESOME (:

After that, I went to the airport to send off Hsin Qin, who went back to the UK (:

He’s got a pretty neat family I must say!

Then to popeyes for Lunch! I know what you’re thinking, “OH MY GOD LUNCH AFTER HAVING A BUFFET?!” well yeah, I thought of that too but we were just craving for some good chicken!

And though i hadn’t has popeyes for some time, it didn’t disappoint at all (: Still love their mashed potatoes as always. Nothing can beat theirs. After that, we went to Ikea Tampines.

Lately, we’ve been hanging out a lot at the foodcourt at Ikea. I don’t know, it’s the all encompassing feeling of homeyness that just gets me when I’m there, you know? It’s this sense of comfort that you can find in no other public place. Having a great company is really the plus side to it.

(and BTW that person in pink totally made me think of Hafizah. For some reason, i really thought it was her)

And this baby totally looks like Shirah when she was younger!

Azhar can so totally be vain (: Haha B don’t angry kk for this next photo…………

Because I think you look so adorable here! And anyone wearing the hat would look adorable.. hahahaha

One of our fun dates (: I <3 Ikea! And I’m sure you do too…

Okay end of photo vomit (:
